July 2004 - Consort Homes Provide Pre-School Children With Their Very Own House
Consort Homes, Yorkshire’s award winning house builder, has supported Baildon Village Pre-School group with a much needed cash donation, allowing the school to purchase toys and equipment for the children, including a brand new Wendy House, and ensuring the facility stayed open.
The pre-school group needed the financial help as it is solely reliant on the contribution of parents, and local council funding. Baildon Village Pre-School has been trying to raise urgent funds to keep the group open for all the local 2½ to 5 years olds who attend.
Group Leader, Claire Burnside, said: “Consort Homes’ donation has allowed our play group to get lots of equipment to help keep the children happy and entertained during their time here. Without Consort’s support we would not have been able to afford several toys including the new Wendy House and we’d like to thank them for their investment.”
Consort Homes Managing Director, Darren Stubbs commented: “Consort is developing in the area at Stonelea, off Otley Road, so we really wanted to give something back to the local community. We are pleased that we can help this important service stay open.”
