February 2005 - Consort Homes Celebrates 500th Sale
In 1994, Yorkshire housebuilder, Consort Homes, sold its first three homes at Bramhope, Leeds. A little over ten years later, the company has celebrated the completion of its 500th home at Larkfield Mews, Brighouse. The journey towards this milestone has won Consort Homes several awards along the way, including Best Regional House Builder and Best Yorkshire House builder. Recently it was Consort who carried out the awarding, with Sales Manager Donna Stead presenting lucky 500th purchaser David Sargeant and family with £500.
David, wife Michelle and son George, purchased Consort’s 500th home - a luxury 4-bed “Kensington” mews house in Brighouse. David commented: “It was fantastic to find out that we were to be given £500 to celebrate Consort’s milestone. It will allow us to purchase some new items to make this a really beautiful home, and of course, some toys for George! Thank you to Consort for celebrating this achievement with us.”
2003 marked Consort’s 10th anniversary when Chairman, Darren Stubbs, took over the little know housebuilder Consortium and the company has been growing ever since. Last year Consort completed over 100 homes, and this year plans to add a further 150.
Chairman Darren Stubbs said: "We are proud to be have sold our 500th home, its quite an achievement considering that when we started there was just myself and one member of staff. Now there are 60 of us based at Head Office and at our various developments. I believe that our forward thinking and the ability to meet people’s housing needs have been at the heart of Consort’s work over the past 11 years. These key factors combined to complete our quality homes throughout Yorkshire and we will continue to work to provide the types of homes that people want to live in."
